Thank you does not adequately express the depth of my gratitude to the guests and
speakers who came out to support The Preservation Investigations for the Arcadia
Valley Academy September 27, 2008.

The guests included Wayne & Scotty from MRIP and Para-X Radio's "Spooks-R-Us";
Wisconsin; Mr. & Mrs. Chris Roberts from Independence, Missouri; Ghost Vigil's
founder Mark Stinson with members Jamie, Tim and Trish from Kansas City,
Missouri, Don and Brad Dush Quest For Cause Paranormal Park Hills, Missouri,
Southwest Ghost Finder's Kim, Charlotte, Jayne, Lori and Gayle; Springfield,
Missouri, Dr Tim Harte The Mesa Project, Indiana, Chief Michael Kemp, Iron
Mountain Lake, Missouri, Tonya, Laurie, Quentin & Khristian of HMPS.

The speakers did a marvelous job! The topics were; Effective Interview Techniques
(taking effective witness statements), Physical Aspects of Haunt Phenomena, Ghosts
in History, Investigative Reports (that can be used to showcase your groups
strengths and build a solid reputation among clients), Theory of EVP and an
explanation of how the infamous MESA Project computer system works.

The investigations portion of the event was, according to all accounts; a good
experience. We had small groups set up in the 1904 St. Joseph's Chapel, the (circa
1916) theatre/study hall, the basement under the Priests House and the theater
balcony. After 2 hour blocks we switched locations. I know investigators were up all
night Friday and Saturday Night so I am looking forward to hearing what kind of
evidence was caught. Numerous personal experiences have already been reported
but I've decided to link to each groups individual reports about the event so
everyone can see the diverse techniques, methodology and results in each teams own
words.

There were fires to be put out (metaphorically) and I have pages of notes that will
make the next conference EVEN BETTER; like simplify dinner and serve pizza and
soft drinks! (LOL)

All of the participants will be receiving the data we have compiled in 6 months of
exhaustive (ongoing) research to add to their reports and give them the benefit of
our labors in case they care to go further and research on their own. This might turn
out to be a valuable networking tool for those who chose to participate. That's been
one of my goals along with raising much need operational costs and preservation
funds for one of the most unique and private locations in Southern Missouri. Or at
least in the Mid Southeastern Missouri region!
